Neighborhood Restrictions The Act of Restrictions governs our Association and should be carefully and completely read prior to buying your home, as well as starting any renovations, constructions, storage of household possessions and/or business and hobby activities. The Board of Directors for the neighborhood association is only interested in maintaining property values and not judging homeowners' tastes or lifestyles. JT6 has retained an attorney to handle restriction violations that continue beyond the Association's complaint process. Elliot Atkinson is an attorney in Baton Rouge who was recommended by the Louisiana Homeowner's Association. He represents some large associations in Baton Rouge, such as Shenandoah. The following amendments to restrictions provide that the Association can now seek attorney fees from defendants in all cases when legal action is undertaken to enforce restrictions. Thus, violators will now be liable for the Association's attorney fees in both dues collection cases and in cases to enforce any other restriction. The restrictions are in PDF format and can be viewed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. To download the Adobe Acrobat Reader, click on the logo at the bottom of the page.
